We are located in beautiful Thayne, Wyoming, on Highway 89, just 54 miles south of Jackson Hole-- the gateway to Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.

 

Thayne is in the heart of scenic Star Valley, a collection of a dozen communities stretching nearly 50 miles from Alpine to Smoot. Salt River Valley was settled in the late 1880's by sturdy Mormon pioneers. Moses Thatcher said the name should be changed to Star Valley "because it is a star among valleys."

 

Summer in this high mountain valley has typically warm, sunny days followed by cool evenings. Star Valley has become the destination of those wanting to beat the heat of urban warmer climates. Many outdoor activities await you including golfing, fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
